Okay, Andrew...
...here you go. :) I posted the online photo album of our reception on my Linux box for you to enjoy. I will be moving it to a more permanent location when my website becomes available again. But for now, it is here: http://67.177.60.107:8081/Reception. Some of the pictures didn't turn out all that great but for the most part, they are pretty good. Scanning analog photos isn't the best thing. :) For the next reception, ahem, BEN, we will be using a digicam! Oh, by the way, if you click on the link above and it's unavailable, try again in the morning. That machine gets shut down every night, but I try to keep it up as long as I can. Since it's a machine in the house, we try to cut down on power consumption by shutting it off at night.
AIEEEEEEEEE!!

Confessions of a College Stalker
So stalking is back on and then....back off......and then back on again. Where it stops is a good a guess as anyone elses. BTW Ben, thanks for talking to my last night, i felt alot better after our convo. My mom said i should be talking so much to someone elses fiance. Andrew! Your post made my day, If you are going to be at the Jingles movie thing tonight, well guess what! So am I! so i can meet you, or somthing! Anyway......
Bad thing of the Day: Sleeping through Geography.....in my car.
Good thing of the Day: A Trip to Promontory Tower and then back.
Insiration of The Day: New ideas for the phyc video, jon you never answered if you would help me
Good Healthy Food of the Day: chicken salad-mmmmm a mere 5 points with all the fixins!
Bag of the Day:Leather with a airline tags
Thing That made me Smile yesterday: Defining Cars owner by what was in the backseat of the car!
Thing that Made me smile today: Jessica being Brave
Color Coordinations of the Day: Blue
Replacement
Yes. That's a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely give it a try. Ben, you are a regular car genious. Maybe you could even suggest what light to try. A safety issue like is definitely no laughing matter and should be resolved as soon as possible. That way I won't crash into anyone on accident if they think I'm not moving but really am.
Ok, so I forgot in my previous post to mention my cool cool coool
Cool thing of the while: TMBG Clock Radio
(thanks, Andrew - I dig it)
And another light goes out
Jon, usually when your blinker blinks at twice the rate it means that one of the lights in your blinkers on that side has gone out. Its a nifty feature built into the car that informs you of defective lighting situations. I suggest you check the working order of your blinker lights on that side and replace the one that's "light has gone out" or so to speak.
Well
We've finally arrived at the crossroads. Now which way to go, I wonder?
Jingles II is SO embarrassing and funny. Jarrett and Andrew and all of us tried hard to make it something more worth watching than a pile of rocks, although if you do watch it you end up seeing that anyways.
Ben, I'm looking forward to whatever plan you've concocted.
When you put on the blinker in my car for left turns it is normal. For right turns, though, it goes twice as fast as it should. This began happening this morning. Entertaining.
Oh, also Ben, I finished the rough draft of my story. I'll let you read it today before the movie if you show up in time. It's only about a page too long. For 2000 words it fills up just under three pages and this version is just over four. It needs a lot of work, but I just wanted to get it all out on paper. Also, one of the characters is a bit underdeveloped since I never decided what her take on life was. She's in the story, but we don't know anything about her. Two of the other characters are also underdeveloped, but not by as much. I just needed more space to work with. But it's also very wordy, so I'm sure I can cut it down some. I just hope to be able to get it done in time for the deadline on Monday. It being my first try at writing something like this, I'm surprized at how well even the rough draft turned out - but then I'm admittedly biased.
Okay, so until later, we are seen.

Nice work!
I was toying with some program notes as well. I will post them for y'all to give your opinions on.
This just in, Part II
The official movie poster of Part II of the Jinglysaga. Limited supplies. Get yours while there are electrons left in the universe to transfer it to your printer.
Jon and Jarrett made the poster. Jon and Jarrett also, sadly, helped make the movie.

Quoth the Turtle: "Righteous! Righteous!"
Ladies and Gentlemen, Citzens/denizens of the Band Hall, and all Interested Parties:
We have the Planetarium. I ran into Dr. Carroll, and he has agreed to let us in for an hour.
Friday, January 28, 6:30 pm
Ott Planetarium of Lind Lecture Hall
Weber State University.
Come one, come all, as Svið Lord Studios presents the world premiere of
Jinglesþula II: George Lucas Stole our Title.
View the Theatrical Trailer here (as soon as I get it up).
Andrew: good, even excellent call on the LSO version of Gandalf. It's HUGE! Are they using an Organ? I've also used your "Ipanema" and rethought a lot of the music. I still need Raiders March, but I think Jon has that. So I'll see you Thursday at 2pm. I think you'll like what I've done.
So this Friday, 6:30 pm, Ott Planetarium.
And then there's a Party in my honor on Saturday, this Saturday, the 29th, at 7:30 pm, at Kristen Vesper's house.
L'chaim.
In reference to your question...
The answer is yes. There will be a "premier showing" of Jinglesthula Episode II: George Lucas Stole Our Title (or Jingles the Pirate Goes Quantity Surveying). This is being planned for the 28th tentativly and will possibly be shown in the planetarium or if that does not work out, in the recital room at the Browning Center.
Now, please read my blog and leave comments. Don't make me beg.

Bang!
So, you all missed an excellent concert down at Snow this weekend. The music was good (one piece is actually one we're playing in symphonic band, how funny?)Those of us who were in the intercollegiate band had a very fun weekend. We played all hours of the day, enjoyed Chinese food from the Snow Dragon and got to go see the Manti Temple (which was the best part in my mind). What a weekend! Anyways. Congrats Brittany on your day of glory at the game! Well, since you all do those list things, I think I'll give it a try...just for fun.
Best food: orange chicken from the Snow Dragon
Shocker of the while: getting 5th chair (1st part) in the intercollegiate band
Best snack: Little Debbie nutty bars (yummers!)
Best movie on tv tonight: Saturday's Warrior....I haven't seen it for at least a year...that movie cracks me up!
Best mail package: the one I got today with my new clarinet ligature (I hope it works!)
Weirdest/most random activity of the weekend: running down a hallway and flying over a couch , then playing guns (don't ask) with complete strangers and my best friend at midnight (I actually had a lot of fun...it's been too long!)
Wrost list of the day: This one :)
Worst spelling: see above
Well, I hope I haven't bored you too much. Have a great day!
PS-for those of us who couldn't see the showing of Jingles 2, is there another chance? or was that a one-time kind of thing?
~Toodles!~

"Well" said Britt, "I did what no one thought I could."
I DID IT!!!!! Yes, Ladies and Gentleman, I Brittany Kristine Bailey talked to Lance Allred! Everything went great except i nearly had a heart attack right after i finished talking to him, no really, my heart rate was about 4,000 beats per minute. But now, I can say, I have met Lance Allred!
Thank you to all who believed in me! and poo poo to those of you who didn't!
*Have a Great Day! * I did last night!!

A long, bloodcurdling 440 Hz
(aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!)
Let me just say this (and don't worry, it will all be well):
I trust Computers. I just don't trust the devil inside them.
(I hope I got that right. It's paraphrased from a movie with small cars and 'the real napster')
So we'll keep trying.
Not Fair
You went for Jamba Juice without me? I love that stuff. Especially when you ask for the extra powdered whatevers that they add in. It makes my smoothie taste like grit from the floor of a flourmill. Yum. Verily, yum.
And if nothing has been done to put Jim Carrey in Danny Kaye's shoes, that is all right with me. The original is just something all by itself. I don't know if anybody could possibly follow his act in that show. It would certainly be interesting to see Carrey's acting of some of the scenes, but I just can't imagine anyone but Danny pulling off the Professor Cornwall impersonation like he did.
Ok, so until later, may you all not die and I shall attempt to follow suit.
Something Random
and something else random
for the Band, a poem. The life Jinglesthula.
Poem: "The Jumblies" by Edward Lear.
The Jumblies
I
They went to sea in a Sieve, they did,
In a Sieve they went to sea:
In spite of all their friends could say,
On a winter's morn, on a stormy day,
In a Sieve they went to sea!
And when the Sieve turned round and round,
And every one cried, "You'll all be drowned!"
They called aloud, "Our Sieve ain't big,
But we don't care a button! we don't care a fig!
In a Sieve we'll go to sea!"
Far and few, far and few,
Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue,
And they went to sea in a Sieve.
II
They sailed away in a Sieve, they did,
In a Sieve they sailed so fast,
With only a beautiful pea-green veil
Tied with a riband by way of a sail,
To a small tobacco-pipe mast;
And every one said, who saw them go,
"O won't they be soon upset, you know!
For the sky is dark, and the voyage is long,
And happen what may, it's extremely wrong
In a Sieve to sail so fast!"
Far and few, far and few,
Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue,
And they went to sea in a Sieve.
III
The water it soon came in, it did,
The water it soon came in;
So to keep them dry, they wrapped their feet
In a pinky paper all folded neat,
And they fastened it down with a pin.
And they passed the night in a crockery-jar,
And each of them said, "How wise we are!
Though the sky be dark, and the voyage be long,
Yet we never can think we were rash or wrong,
While round in our Sieve we spin!"
Far and few, far and few,
Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue,
And they went to sea in a Sieve.
IV
And all night long they sailed away;
And when the sun went down,
They whistled and warbled a moony song
To the echoing sound of a coppery gong,
In the shade of the mountains brown.
"O Timballo! How happy we are,
When we live in a sieve and a crockery-jar,
And all night long in the moonlight pale,
We sail away with a pea-green sail,
In the shade of the mountains brown!"
Far and few, far and few,
Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue,
And they went to sea in a Sieve.
V
They sailed to the Western Sea, they did,
To a land all covered with trees,
And they bought an Owl, and a useful Cart,
And a pound of Rice, and a Cranberry Tart,
And a hive of silvery Bees.
And they bought a Pig, and some green Jack-daws,
And a lovely Monkey with lollipop paws,
And forty bottles of Ring-Bo-Ree,
And no end of Stilton Cheese.
Far and few, far and few,
Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue,
And they went to sea in a Sieve.
VI
And in twenty years they all came back,
In twenty years or more,
And every one said, "How tall they've grown!
For they've been to the Lakes, and the Torrible Zone,
And the hills of the Chankly Bore!"
And they drank their health, and gave them a feast
Of dumplings made of beautiful yeast;
And every one said, "If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,—
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!"
Far and few, far and few,
Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue,
And they went to sea in a Sieve.
Have fun tonight everyone. May the Force be with you, Brittany-Wan (and remember how patently hilarious this whole business is). Jessi(ca), I think I can come on Saturday. Jon, If you need a ride, I'll give you one; if you don't need a ride (but are going) I would like one.
Announcing: A DaViD version of JÞII has come forth. For showings.

Yes it is Cory.
That was reported about two years ago, and nothing has happened on it. Rule #1: Never trust IMDB.
Tonight I ate sour milk on my bowl of cereal without realizing it. Ewwwwwwww. I hope I don't start pukeing everywhere.
Only technically is Jingles done, BTW. Remember the point of the meeting on Friday is to give input as to what ought to be changed in order to make it into a final version that works.
Read my blog and leave comments. Please. Pretty please.
And you thought that I had disappeared, right? (well, I did)
So, it's been a LONG time since I have posted anything. Carrying 19 credit hours of many music classes and computers hasn't given me much time to do much of anything, much less any energy either. So, I must first apologize for my lack of socializing (not like I do it much anyways, but that's not the point). And then I must apologize for not saying hello to everyone, it's a part of my life, and I miss it greatly! :) The main reason I wanted to post right now, is that I have a simple and yet very important piece of advice for Brittany. BE YOURSELF! If you want this guy to like you, don't be someone you're not (ei, dress normal). Sorry...that's my big tangent for the day.
So, I was practicing the piano today and I don't know why, but my arms began to feel twice as long as normal and the keys were half as long. I think I had been staring at the keyboard too long or something, it freaked me out! So, I suppose that's all I have to say for now. I need to remember how to get into my online class. So, have a wonderful day and "reach for the stars!"
~Toodles!~
"Well," said Ben, "It's all good."
That's right, folkelsthula. The partythula will be at my place on Friday night at 7 of the PM. It should include some Jingling of a DaViD. I might also add, that since I am providing the location, that some people might be so graciously inclined to provide some drinkagethula and some snackagethula as well. I personally can't wait, and I was glad that I got told somewhat after it was decided that it should be at my house . . . as opposed to a slightly longer timesthula after.
I can't wait for the pep band game tomorrow . . . and isn't it funny that the band calls it a pep band game and not a basketball game. From what I hear, the future destiny of one certain chap will decided on the morrow, and we should all be excited to find out the conclusion . . . thus we shall see if stalking is, indeed, actually worth it.
Today signals the magical number of 53. I like the number 53, by the way. It is a good number and has been a favorite of mine for some time now . . . oh, say about 5 1/2 years.
Thanks, one and all, I shall see you if not tomorrow, then on the Day of Fri, or the Day of Jingles.
"Well," said Jarrett, "I'm done."
A true statement. Jinglesthula II is finished editing and scoring. So -- it's finished. However, it will require some cleverness to get it to a DVD (prounounced: Day-vid) for Friday. Jon, we need Der Waldjagd (your Lyra) again. But not for long.
Use the Force, Brittany.
Ooh! I just found a pen! Likker!
Anyhow, It's done. I just thought I would share that glorious news.
Other news:
Today is the birthday of Edgar Allan Poe.
Today is also 4 weeks before Lent and me going away.
Today is a good day.
Tuesday, January 18, 2005
"Well," said Sam, "I'm back."
DTD? Britt, are you going on a date with your stalkee? Or what?
Clandestine operations? I guess I'll hear the whole story later.
songs of the month (and I quote):
Fall is here, hear the yell
back to school, ring the bell
brand new shoes, walking blues
climb the fence, books and pens
I can tell that we're going to be friends
Walk with me, Suzy Lee
through the park and by the tree
we will rest upon the ground
and look at all the bugs we found
then safely walk to school
without a sound
Well here we are, no one else
we walked to school all by ourselves
there's dirt on our uniforms
from chasing all the ants and worms
we clean up and now its time to learn
Numbers, letters, learn to spell
nouns, and books, and show and tell
at playtime we will throw the ball
back to class, through the hall
teacher marks our height
against the wall
And we don't notice any time pass
we don't notice anything
we sit side by side in every class
teacher thinks that I sound funny
but she likes the way you sing
Tonight I'll dream while in my bed
when silly thoughts go through my head
about the bugs and alphabet
and when I wake tomorrow I'll bet
that you and I will walk together again
cause I can tell that we're going to be friends

Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma!
Tu pure, o, Principessa,
nella tua fredda stanza,
guardi le stelle
che fremono d'amore
e di speranza.
Ma il mio mistero e chiuso in me,
il nome mio nessun sapra!
No, no, sulla tua bocca lo diro
quando la luce splendera!
Ed il mio bacio sciogliera il silenzio
che ti fa mia!
(Il nome suo nessun sapra!...
e noi dovrem, ahime, morir!)
Dilegua, o notte!
Tramontate, stelle!
Tramontate, stelle!
All'alba vincero!
vincero, vincero!
Today's music brought to you by Napoleon and Turandot and by grants from viewers like you!
Ok, well, JPII is ok to discuss on the band blog since it's ok to discuss in the band hall. The former is simply a wired extension of the ladder. Latter. Whatever.
New TGS today.
Peace
Blahhdie Blahdie
Hallelujah! The Jingles war is over, huzzah!!! Have fun with your editing and stuff, and fyi i have only been posting for Jessicas benifit since no one else seems to focus on anything else but Jingles so if you are annoyed by me posting stupid well.....posts. so here is the lists for the day

In the immortal words of Gloria Gaynor
I will survive
I will survive
as long as I know how to love
I know I will stay alive
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
And I'll survive
I will survive
Ah music!

I think the problem has been solved.
Jarrett, I like the suggestion of looking at it as a special edition. We will finalize this version to be known henceforth as "Jinglesthula Episode II: George Lucas Stole Our Title (or Jingles the Pirate goes quantity surveying) the theatrical version". In the grand tradition of lord Peter Jackson, we will then release "Jinglesthula Episode II: George Lucas Stole Our Title (or Jingles the Pirate goes quantity surveying) the special extended deluxe edition".
I would still like to meet this week to review the current cut with you and hash out some things to possibly or possibly not be changed. Indeed, I'll give you a call on Tuesday to discuss the details. Bear in mind that I will be in Morgan on Friday after about 4ish and will be in Morgan until sometime Saturday evening. Perhaps that would be a good time to meet? I am still up for the option of having y'all come down this way to visit me in my humble abode though.
In other news I used my $$$$ from Christmas to buy a brand new digital video camera. How exciting for me! I am now ready to shoot stuff for my film class AND the camera also takes digital still photos as well, so now all I need is to figure a way to upload them to the web.
So anyway, I will call you Jarrett. I hope this whole mess will find a way to be smoothed out.
Savila se bela losza
Silly music for silly me. Listen to it as you read to understand the tone at which I write.
I just realized that all this Jinglesþula discussion should have been carried on in the venue designed for it: the Jingles blog!
Thank you, Kristin. An outside voice is greatly appreciated.
Somethin's Gotta Give, as the fine old song says; so I will. But only to an extent.
Here is my massage for won and awl. I'm going to finish a draft version of JÞII this week (Tomorrow, even) and Burn it to DVD. Saturday, I will personally drive those with the most interest (if they can), viz., Ben, Jon, and Myself, down to SLC to show Andarth what has been done. And if as we watch it we want to change things, there's time to do that. If Ben or Jon can't come, another interested party is welcome.
I say Saturday, but if on another day of the week there is a good time for all, I'm willing to do that too. I would prefer it (being sooner rather than later); but I know you're all in school.
Do you realize that in saying, Jinglesthula II is almost done, I mean the MOVIE itself? I haven't done any of the other stuff, the 'Making of', or the blooper reel, or any of that. That still remains another person's Noble Quest. I leave that up entirely. The extent of my ambition for now is to have in my possesion a DVD with both films on it. That's all. But I am eager to get input on what's been done. So -- let's do it. If this meeting doesn't come together (IE, by other people showing more motivation than that required to nag me into doing it) I will call this "draft version" complete and leave the project. So I hope we can make this work. In two years (I'll be back for Spring Semester 2007) we can release the "Jinglesþula Special Edition."
Saturday, 22 January 2005. In the Morning or Afternoon (realizing I need to be home at Seven pm). I will drive to North Ogden and Get Jon. I will drive to Morgan and Get Ben. And we will drive to Salt Lake and Visit Andrew. Tell me if this is even remotely feasible. I am willing to go as early as 5 am or as late as 4:30 pm. (again, allowing travel time.) If I must, I'll even arrange to have nothing happening that day so it can be in the evening.
I AM WILLING. Show me your faith by your works, as James says.
So let it be written; so let it be done.
But can I say? There are many editions of Great Works. There are several versions of 'Messiah' by Haendel; there are several versions of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony; There are several versions of Dvorak's Cello Concerto; We're in good company.
Andrew, Jon, Ben, call me, six-four-four two-four-nine-one. Let's do it.
Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of Rum....
For whatever it is worth to you all, I believe the best thing to do is create two versions. Let Jarrett finish his version of Jinglesthula and I hope Andrew will finish his. Both of you have wonderful things to contribute and I believe it would have been best if you both could have worked together on the entire thing, but that isn't the way things have worked out. There is no changing that. Therefore, I believe the next best thing is for the both of you to do your own versions as you can and be at peace with each other!
If Jinglesthula is really, as Jarrett sugtgests, a representation of the band hall, what better way to show that than for there to be multiple versions! Who of all of you, if any of you, see, feel, think the exact same thing as anybody else when you walk into our little music-esque domain? You don't! Every version is different! Indeed, each thinks something different (if only slightly) than one's fellow band geek! So why not multiple versions of Jingles? Honestly - Why NOT?!
Again, those are simply my thoughts, for whatever my view may be worth to any of you involved.

The Life Not So Aquatic-with Brittany Bailey
Hope everyone is having a fantastic MLK Human Rights day, lets not forget what this man did to earn a day in which everyone gets a break from mail, school, civic responibilities, etc. Most of us never have really know what its like to be pursued for thing in which we cannot change (ie our skin color) but that does not mean that we should just forget why we have this day. Martin Luther King did an amazing thing to this country. He made a lot of people realize that its okay to be different. He made people realize that there doesn't always have to be violence to get a point across. Don't forget that!
Anyway enough of my political garbage or something. Every day its getting closer to Thursday(sorry to bring it up, yet again) and I am getting more and more nervous which is really stupid I know, especially since nothing will come of it and I can get on with my life a little less stalker-ish. Though Jarrets Yoda quote gave me a bit of courage whilst I read it and now I realize that even if things don't go the way I want them to I know in the end everything will be okay. Again I apologize for all of you having to put up with me and my silly posts. If I get too annoying someone just say so okay?
*Have a Great Day!

Well (a thing that holds water)...
I understand where you are comming from Jarrett, BUUUUUUUT, the way things are gone about at the moment does not offer the inclusion of other's input. Jingles II is as much everyone elses. I know that you want it finished before you go, but if that is not possible then I'm afraid it WILL just have to wait. It is not the end of the world, and actually could add character to the film with age (much like a good cheese).
On the other hand I have two suggestions. The e-mail system I worked out with Jon might work BUT, Jon, I can't download the file to my comp and it won't open in another window, so maybe it can be converted to a different format? OR, suggestion 2 is that y'all come down this way and visit me on Monday. I can show you around and we can have a Jingles watching session/planning hash out session, maybe go do some other fun activity.
I am sorry to say that I understand it was not your intention to offend anyone, but I am afraid you have. I really don't know what can be done about that. I am sorry if I have caused any grief as well.
Anyway, I have offered my suggestions and really hope that I can still be a part of finishing this film.
Bitter Regret
Sadly, one and everyone, the Stick (Lampros) will be closed for all of Monday, as will all other computer labs on campus. I don't like to be the bearer of ba(n)d news, but I'm afraid it's better than arriving here to work and not being able to. BUT!!!! I suggest we still get together and watched a burned copy of the movie and lay our plans. Up to all y'all. I'm down either way.
Ok, well, I'm going now to sit here for another few hours and do stuff. Yay.
'kay bye.

Musings
Sanibonani!
I'm up later than I in reality (or Jinglesþula, whichever you're currently feeling more aligned with) should be -- so I hope all you my fellow blogizens will be patient. The first part of this blog is addressed primarily to Andrew Schvaneveldt (the wise and noble director of Jinglesþula II), but is useful for all; read on.
Speaking of my first parenthetical comment above, the life of a Band Geek is closer to Jinglesþula than real life. By which... as Strong Sad would have it.
Speaking of other things:
Whoa, whoa, whoa unto the Californian Surfer-dudes
(And sea-turtle types)
Andrew, I am willing and able if you are. There is none among us who has school on the 17th - and yet the Stick, in which the glorious undertaking has been going forth (and I must say, primarily as my product. I am forced to admit that I have gone forward on many occasions without asking any input at all from the others) shall be to the best of my knowledge open at least for a few hours. You can, I know very well, come down. I will even facilitate you -- Shall we say, lunch for those involved is on me. But you must come down, or else accept forever several versions of this film. Thus Walter Cronkite. I have done my part, friends. The first one was mine alone -- I didn't think this one was going to be.
It's late. I must apologize, for my anger is always more active at these hours. Andrew, it's a pleasure to work with you. Jinglesþula has gone places I could never have taken it alone. I hope we can prepare a final version that satisfies everyone.
But I'm not going to spoon-feed it to you. (ARRGH, MATEY!!) I want it done, and I want it done NOW. Or Monday, rather.
I sincerely hope that I haven't upset anyone. That is not my intention. My intention is only to rile you up slightly, to try your patience and push the progress of our Glorious Undertaking (Hmm. That makes Jingles II sound like a Manifest Destiny concept). But I would actually really like it if there were two or even three final versions. Your style, Adnrew, is so different from mine (yours is actually good on purpose) that I think a better feeling of the truth of Jingles (which I'm trying to express) will be seen.
What is Jinglesþula, in the end? It is a symbol of the Life Eccentric. What do I mean by the Life Eccentric? It is the Band Hall. It is 'Random.' True real life, REALITY (for what it's worth) is not "the real world" as people call it. It is more like Napoleon Dynamite than most of us are willing to admit. And Jinglesþula is really a lot like Napoleon Dynamite. Real life, my beloved friends, is about cultivating our eccentricities -- the things that make each of us ourselves.
LIVE.
I apologize. I tend to wax philosophical when I ought to be sleeping (as my 12/24 post proves). And I tend to sound rather funky and new-age for the pompous and old-fashioned very-young-old-man that I am.
Let me close by saying, Andrew: you just need to see what we've done. It's very pleasing, to me and those that have seen it so far.
Well, enough of that.
Heather, that llama song is probably the funniest thing I have ever seen. Very Jinglesþula (by which I mean, random to the point of art).
Everybody is welcome to come and hear me speak in sacrament, Sunday the 16th at 1 pm at 435 N. Jackson avenue. My Mom insists for the sake of the culture that I allow a small cookie-reception later, 7 pm, at my house. But this is far from the last you'll see of me. Towards the end of this month (or the very beginning of next) I want to have a small party (or a large one) and watch "The Gods Must be Crazy" before I go.
And you should all write me. If you don't, I'll call you nasty names in Zulu behind your back. Actually, I won't. But I will miss (already do miss) my friends (that's you folks), the Band Hall, and School in general. Best of luck to you all. Jon, congratulations on your new employment; Ben, Mazal-Tov; Matt and Tiffanie, well, what can I say (don't fall?); Bretagne(Brittany), Best of luck on Thursday -- and Let me remind you of the words of Yoda:
"Judge me my size, do you? And well you should not! For my ally is the Force -- and a powerfully ally it is."
So that's my advice to you. Use your Jedi powers. 'Size,' as Yoda says, 'matters not.'; Jessica, you will pass Piano Proficiency. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.
Things others need to do while I'm not around:
Watch the Rootisms!
I suggest for this that every month or semester a new person be elected to serve this role. It is a much-needed and valued part of Band Hall Society. Remember, you get a semester off (Fall 2005) -- but don't let it die!
Be Random
Live 'la vie Jinglesþula' (cultivate your eccentricities and excellences). Need I say more.
Try to Graduate
We all want to, someday.
Write Me
Otherwise I won't know anyone when I get back. No fun.
I'll post my address later.
And so goodnight unto you all. Life is Good, Theology is valid (that is to say, there is a God), South Africa RULES. And I'm not even going there for another two months.
Sala Kahle, my friends.

Whenever I
Right you are Jason. Cell phones, unlike Trix breakfast cereal, are not for kids.
Andrew, you are correct on the First Contact trivia bit. You can have a sandwich whenever you swing up this way from way down south-a-ways. Yeah, I figure everybody deserves a shot at editing as much as they did at acting/directing/odding during the shoots. A Director's Cut and a Producer's Cut would solve the issue neatly. I might even like to make a Jingle's Cut (not to be confused with the JingleCut Fries available only at the quickly growing Pirate Burger fast food chain - first restaurant to open sometime next decade). Now that would be odd. Oh, odding? Well, that's just all the stuff we did that added oddness to the movie while we were filming it.
A welcome to our newest bloggers here on the blog: Aaron and That Britt Chap are joining us. Louie will not be joining us, however. Or Larry or whatever the dude's name is.
Ok, more later, time to leave work so I can go downstairs and go to work.
Peace

Thanks are in order
to Jarrett for the kind return of my student ID card.
After watching the Producers Cut of Jinglesthula II, I am excited to have my own copie. I can't wait for the premier... which has yet to be scheduled, but is soon, I'm sure.
Today's magical number is 60.
I saw too many snowflakes (about 10,000) today.
I finished Worthing Saga. Pretty good. If you like sci-fi, I'd recommend it.
I am happy.
Later yo's.
Who in their right mind...
...would give a cell phone to a child; especially someone between the ages of three and eight? According to a CNN report, cell phone use in Great Britain is quite popular among children. What the crap are the parents thinking? Are they thinking? The report that I read had to do with the "health risks" posed by using cell phones and cautions that there is no need to expose kids to those risks early in their lives. Okay, when I read that, I though, "health risks?!" What about risks to the children's safety? You give a cell phone to a three-year-old, or a five-year-old and what happens when some freako pedophile comes up to that kid and asks for his or her phone number? Do you think kids that young are responsible enough to know not to give it to them? What about people not so evil in nature, but just as insidious? Say, telephone advertizers, for instance. Y'know, what happens when your cell-phone toting five-year-old gets a call from an advertizing agency? People are sick enough to target that age group and really soak them for all their parents are worth. This article was talking about the three to eight-year-old group. Personally, I don't think that a nine-year-old is mature enough to have their own cell phone. I mean, c'mon! Do nine-year-olds need to network with all their friends and call them at all hours of the day? Are they running business deals that need them always available? I sure hope not! Kids should be kids and have their toys and their bikes and play with their friends.
Aloha!

Ahh, yes...
First Contact. I will be taking you up on the offer in the not too distant future, Jon.
I would like to point out that Jingles is not anywhere near completion, contrary to popular belief. Jarrett is bussy toiling away on his own version of the film. That version will be changed however in two years time when he returns and I can sit myself down with him and toil away as well. So, sorry, you will all have to wait two years for the final product, but trust me, it will be well worth the wait.
Well, that's it for now.
Goings on
Way to go fellow band geek Mike Mikesell.
Picture of the day: crescent moon, Jupiter and two of its satellites
Jingles the Pirate goes quantity surveying is nearing completion thanks to the hard work and skill of one Jarrett. It's great stuff.
Had a parents' meeting for Thename drumline today following practice where we set about half of the opener. This is going to be fun. You should all come see us perform when the show is ready.
I like my new job. It's fun. And stuff. For my first day on the job everybody that works in our department took a Dead Russian Composers test online. You answer a buncha questions and then it tells you which DRC you match closest. I was Korsikov. Jolly good fun.
'kay, bye.

It's Snowing
(In Vegas!) Hi one and all, this is Tiffanie. My fiancee asked me to sign on and say hi. See ya all in a few days!!
Eye Oh Ewe
One lunch at Gandalfo's, Andrew. I should've double checked on my facts there. The source that I got my info from had the episodes out of order. The episode in question occurs exactly 80 episodes after the one that has the same name as the track on the CD. Next time I'll bookmark my resources so I can refer back in case of error, such as occured this time. But now I think you'll get the answer very quickly.

Maaskealeneogelendigemenhaaberikkeland?
Jon: Saying "Don't ask what that means" to a person like me is like saying "Don't breathe and eat."
What is Maaskealeneogelendigemenhaaberikkeland?
