As you probably know when Arby's is promoing a new sandwich they often place a large flyer with coupons for said sandwich in the Signpost. One side of the ad has tiny coupons, and the other has a large picture of the new item with blocks of text explaining all of the great things that will happen when you purchase their product. It is important to note that the coupons are perforated, so when you separate all of the coupons it is possible to arrange the blocks of text to form eloquent poetry.

Okay: two things coming up, one past.

Starting with the passed: Last Thursday night I conducted the world premiere of my own composition, 'suite in... g?' for band. Dr. Root was kind enough to lend me the band for that number. So I had my conducting and compositional public debut. It was exciting.

AND

on Tuesday, March 4 at 7:30 is a little recital of new music by student composers and also me.

BUT ESPECIALLY

on thursday, march 6th at 7:30 in rm 136 Heather Carlson is giving her senior recital and I, Jarrett, am giving my Junior Recital. It should be pretty cool. You all should come.

Huzzah! I think we should go to this concert as a collective of nerds/geek/dorks/whakado's! I also found a great youtube project that all of us should become obsessed with. Username vlogbrothers. It's these two brothers who for a whole year didn't textually communicate and only spoke to eachother using video blogs. They are both self proclaimed "nerds" and call their followers "nerdfighters" the gang sign of which is crossed live long and prosper signs. Yeah they are freaking amazing! John the older of the two is also a writer. If you ever saw the accio deathy hallows song you have gotten a small taste of the awesomeness that is Brotherhood 2.0!
