A Delivery Service Inside Us

Andrew: The Doors

BrittChap: The game takes about 60 seconds to go through when you know what to do, so it's not that big of a game, but it's fun. I suppose it would help us help you if you told us what part of the game you are on. As a general help, what you need to do is collect everything that can be collected in the game. When you click on it it will automatically jump to your inventory. When you've collected all the pieces of the puzzle it will automatically form a box. *****spoiler warning: don't read the rest of this paragraph if you don't want the game to be spoilt for U, umkay? Umkay.***** You place the boxes on the little holding places for them that are by doors and then the door will be open. The cards go (in the right order) on the last open box. Then it closes and you can open the last door with it. Not too difficult. The hard part is finding everything. Hint: Use your Tab key. That makes it too easy. Takes all the fun out of it. Sorry I just ruined it for you. But you did ask for help.

Explainations and exploitations

Britty, I think I have played that game before and... well... I don't know if there is a way to beat it (if its the black and white look at the picture, read the text and click on the number of door you wanna go through game that I'm thinking it it). I went through and tried every single door that you could go through and it just kept spinning me in circles. I even found the sight map and there are no end to the doors. Sorry. If'n somebody else has conflicting information, be sure and share.
About the poster, I also took and edited the text in the upper corner that changed what it really said into something really funny. All about eating eels and mages and returning ourselves to elves. Plus, it was all written by a man in Germany. It was fun stuff.
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
bye bye for now

It's a bit gamey...

Hey! Britty! Post a link to the game. I would like to have a go at it, and I'm sure others would too. And way to go on your own blog. I'll have to check it out.

Grampa'd

Well, ya see, the poster is of this "odd" looking piano player who is french and has a sleeveless shirt on. The modification of the poster is that someone took magic marker and drew him some sleeves. It was a bit funny.

Silly Rabi

Ummm, so, is there any chance of making a scan of the poster and putting it up since SOME of us can't see it? Just sayin'....

Rung bells and my story sells

We have returned! What a wonderful honeymoon we had. Just Hava, the Ben, and Zion's National Park! Thank you one and everyone who came and presented yourself for the giving of congratulations (goodness, did we ever hear that word 100 too many times) at our reception and whatnot. It ended up being not too bad an experience, but it was nice to get away. Get away from work, family, school, and not to mention just about every other worry there is. And might I add that I love, absolutely love, being married! Happy day, all is well. I also absolutely love, more than anything, my dear sweet lovely wife. Hava, you get 1000 points.
Onto another, more less exciting note. The story I entered into Metaphor as an afterthought of helping Jon with his made it into publication... or will be published when Metaphor actually comes out. I am sorry that Jon's story, which prompted the submission of my story, did not make it into the issue. I kinda feel bad about receiving glory when my good good friend did not. However, Jon, you still win for entering.

Live long enough to prosper!

Spring break has been great, i have been sitting on my butt, being ignored by those i thought friends, and when i say ignored i mean my friend from high school all home for the week, well who needs them anyway.

This...is the story...of...

Simon, the Wonder Vet.

Simon was a distant cousin by failed marriage to Thusly the Wonder Hampster. His claim to fame is his badge that he wears giving him the authority to travel around and help with people's dogs and cats when they need his help.

Simon's right arm is slightly bigger than his left because of a bout with Polio when he was young. That never stopped Simon the Wonder Vet from doing his amazing deeds throughout the land. Everyone loved Simon because of how cool he was. One thing that set Simon apart and made him famous was his baseball card collection. He owned an original Mickey Mantle rookie card that was pretty much his most prized possession.

I say that it was only pretty much so because his absolutely most prized possession was his famous hubcap photo collection. He loved to take pictures of people's hubcaps. He had everything from moonies right on through the wheels dressed in BigFoot Mud Gripper tires. Simon took pictures of hubcaps so that he didn't have to deprive the cars of their hubcaps and so that he could still have a sort-of hubcap collection.

One day, a Thursday, Simon noticed that he didn't have a picture of a 1978 Ford Futura hubcap. So he set out on a quest (after work, of course) to find one. He looked and looked and looked, all the while noticing other cars that he had not captured hubcaps from. Dodge Chargers, Chevy Citations, even AMC Pacers, but no Ford Futuras. It seemed that he had seen a Futura sometime the week previous, but couldn't quite remember. Yes! He had! It was at the grocery store.

So, Simon hopped on his little motorbike and headed across town to the grocery store. On his way, he passed his quasi-cousin, Thusly. He bid him good day and continued on his journey. When Simon arrived at the grocery store, he looked around the parking lot. Finally, over in one corner, shining like a gold dubloon, was the Ford Futura! It was even colored like a gold dubloon. "Hmmm. Must be aftermarket paint," thought Simon. So Simon proceeded to take pictures of the hubcaps of his precious find. He would be able to add these pictures to the 6,217 already-photographed hubcaps in his modest collection.

As he left the parking lot, completely content in his day of searching, a little ditty went through his head. It was disturbing to him because it was an ear worm by a group called The Backstreet Boys. These types of songs were difficult and frustrating to get out of his head. Simon didn't want that ruining the rest of his evening. So, he changed the words a little and came up with "Which Backstreet Boy is Gay" which amused him through the rest of his trip home.

Upon arriving at his dwelling, Simon the Wonder Vet plopped down in front of the TV to watch some news. However, since he had already heard about most of the stuff on the news (by way of the morning paper) he decided that it would be better known as the olds.

It's official

Both the fact that the Winterton's are now hitched and that Ta is now out and terrorizing the streets. If you don't know what I mean, then you need to need to see my almost sweet ride (the actual sweet ride returns today like a homing pigeon to its proprietor).

Beth started working at Valley Nursery today. Tree-rific, if you ask me. Jason, your post should not be left in draft form - it's too funny not to be posted.

'kay, bye.

This just in...

Jarrett respectfully requested that I post the following here:

7 March 2005, Bloemfontein, South Africa

Howzit?
Well, I am doing wonderful. It is beatiful here in Bloemfontein (my first area) -- nice and warm. South Africa reminds me very much of California. The food is good (and the cost of living low).
I have met some amazing people. I'll tell you about one I haven't met yet. He's the father of a recent convert. Though he doesn't want the missionaries, he (a minister of another congregation) is not only reading the Book of Mormon but is using it in his sermons. We'll see what happens after a little bit of time passes, yes?
Bloemfontein is ON FIRE. I haven't been tracting yet, and I got here Thursday night. We spend all of our time teaching. The new program works, you see; and the members here are more excited about missionary work than just about anybody I've ever met in the States. We have (though I'm not really responsible for them) Three baptisms next Sunday. One is a convert named Palesa and the others are Children-of-record. Palesa lives in one of the townships. Now townships are an interesting thing. Some townships are made up of very nice but very small houses;
others of corrugated tin Shacks.
Let me tell you, my first day here was spent staring about with my mouth open. Half the people speak Sotho and the other half (most of the white people) speak Afrikaans. Afrikaaners are Great People. Stubborn as the day is long, but usually stubborn for good things.
It's interesting to see that the absolutely wretched and destitute people, the ones that live in the 'Squatter Camps' and shacks, are very happy. Simpler and Happier than many Americans. Most Americans.
It's great to be out here, and a joy to be serving the Lord. I have no Idea what I did to deserve it, but I am here at this time. I feel like an Israelite, eating the fruit of vineyards I didn't plant. God Bless you; the Church is true; the new missionary program is entirely too cool; life is good.
Anyhow. Please write me (I'm sorry, you can't email). You know you want to.
Stay well!

"This, the day of your daughter's wedding"

Well, today is the day. Ben and Hava are now Man and Wife. We went over and had a nice lunch this afternoon in their honor and I got to sit down with them and get some good sound byte stuff for my documentary which I am making for class and for the two of them as well. Everyone pretty much scattered after that, so Jeremy and I went to the mall and walked around for a while, then we decided to come to the stick for something to do. Now I'm just sitting here passing gas, er I mean the time, waiting until the rececption later tonight. Now, read my blog and leave me comments. Don't make me come through the internet and climb out of your computer and make you do it.

Wedding Anticipatica

With roughly 40 hours until my marriage takes place, I am excited and yet surprisingly calm. I happen to suffer from knowing that I'm doing the right thing. I'm not going to be overcome, I think, until it is just about to happen... or maybe even afterwards... who knows? I won't be seeing most of you bloggers, unless you happen to show up at my reception, until the monday or so after spring break. Take care y'all, and don't try to think too hard about me having a fun vacation with my new wife!!! And what a vacation it'll be!

Go Lady Wildcats! Kick butt!

Streptococcus...

...bacteria cause people to be very miserable. According to dictionary.com (a very nice command-line tool in Firefox) Streptococci in colony cause such ailments as scarlet fever (very serious) and strep throat (less serious, but very miserable.) I had a bout of the latter this past week and it took me completely off my feet from Wednesday afternoon to Saturday morning. It not only took me off my feet and kept me in bed, but it completely DEPRIVED ME OF SLEEP!!! The best sleep I got was Saturday morning between 5:45 and 6:00 when I set a sleeping bag out on the floor and slept in it. It was great. When I crawled into the sleeping bag, I was in all kinds of pain from the strep throat, but the solid nature of the floor straightened out my back and when I woke up fifteen minutes later (due to my computer/alarm clock) I felt so much better. That little stroke of genius came from Kristin. She actually forced me to sleep in the sleeping bag because I was hurting so badly. Strep sucks!!! Gaaaah! I know that I have been rambling a bit on this, but please bear with me. I just got done with about 72 hours of some of the most misery in recent memory and this morning, I took a Discrete Math test. So yeah, if I don't make sense, send me an email or blog or something and say "Huh?" and I'll probably get back to you. :)

Food of the week: (Since I haven't eaten anything since Tuesday) Pizza
